This weekend has been, quite literally, a washout.  I got to Tampa early Saturday morning, with low clouds threatening rain.  I’d planned for a ride late in the day, as I had a number of things to take care of in the morning and afternoon.  Turns out, I missed my only chance.

I did my last remaining strength training for the week in the morning before checking out of the hotel, and headed out to start knocking things off of my “to do” list.  The rain from Tropical Storm Debbie started in earnest about 3:00 in the afternoon, and hasn’t let up since.  My rides for Saturday and Sunday were scrapped.  Unfortunately, I don’t have ready access to a gym or indoor pool either; so, no way to even shuffle workouts around.  I believe this is what they refer to as “forced rest”.  But given the flooded streets and tornadoes, missing a few workouts is pretty low on the priority scale.
